All about Flings!

Ghana sprinter Flings Joyner Owusu-Agyapong was born in Kumasi, Ghana and moved to Toronto, Canada at the age of 9.

 

She started training with the Flying Angels after her sophomore year of high school and made the provincial team going to the National Scholastic Indoor Championships in '06 and '07.

 

She attended Syracuse University on an athletic scholarship, where she broke the school records for the 55, 60 and 100 meters and was 2x 2nd team All-American. She graduated with a Bachelor of science in Public Health.

 

Flings has her sights set on the 2016 Olympic games in Rio, Brazil.
